Mandela“She said: ‘Over that bridge, which shall be built with our bodies, who shall pass?’ He said: ‘The entire human race.'” Olive Schreiner (1855-1920), Three Dreams in a Desert

As President Obama heads to South Africa, it’s worth noting that Nelson Mandela was jailed for the same crime — ‘treason,’ that Edward Snowden now stands accused of, by Mr. Obama.

In a interesting twist, Snowden is more reflective of Mandela, while President Obama resembles the cool cricket-playing oppressors who imprisoned Nelson Mandela and added to the body count.

“For you were called for freedom, brothers and sisters. But do not use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh; rather serve one another through love. For the whole law is fulfilled in one statement, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. But if you go on biting and devouring one another, beware that you are not consumed by one another.” Gal. 5:13-15
