At the recent National Film Awards of India, Liar’s Dice was recognized for Best Cinematography, and Ms. Thapa, Best Actress. Mr. Manjule received their award for Best Debut Film of a Director.

In his film, Fandry (Pig), Nagraj Manjule, an Indian untouchable, tells a heartfelt story (based on his own) about the centuries-old caste system that continues to plague India.
