Fire&FuryPresident Trump’s incendiary rhetoric and immature policies toward Korea (North and South) seem also intended to shore up his precarious position at home, by assuaging and gaining sympathy from his many opponents on the left and right. A similar miscalculation was made in 1914 by the weak and despised Tzar Nicholas II of Russia — leading him to go to war with Germany and the Austro-Hungarian Empire, in the hope of uniting his country — which didn’t end well for Russia, the Tzar, or the world.

A better approach would be for the U.S. to help North and South Korea reunite.
